Barrel facts - TN Barrel Shop

We use 100% of the barrels we source. Different size staves are used for various items we make. We cut down the hoops and integrate them in most of our pieces. Our attention to detail shows just like the coopers did when the barrel was originally built.

We source our barrels from the bourbon capitol of the world, Bardstown, Ky. Every part of the barrel is used for our products. 99% of our barrels are made from American oak.

Barrel Charring

Barrel char level refers to the specific amount of time distillers char the inside of the barrels. Barrel charring changes the oak to produce the best reaction between the whiskey and the wood as it ages.
